Cowser Tire & Service has come a long way…

Kevin Davis started working in the tire business at the age 8 years old, working for his father at Russey Tire Company in Fort Worth. He worked holidays and summers changing tires, fixing flats, running errands, and learning, learning, learning.

When Mr. Jay Russey retired and Mike (Kevin’s dad) moved to East Texas Kevin worked for a couple local tire companies running service trucks. Wanting to be his own boss he started a mobile tire service out of his mom’s garage in December 1989. His mom and sister Amy answered the phones while he was out on calls.

Kevin moved into his first building on the north side of Fort Worth in the spring of 1990 with one shop employee, one service truck (which he ran) and Amy answering the phones. He specialized in commercial truck and forklift tire sales and service. In his spare time he handled all office work until he had to hire a full-time secretary.

By March of 1997, Kevin’s mom Jan came into the business running the office and they had outgrown the facility in Fort Worth and moved to a 8,000 sq ft building in Saginaw in September 1997. Kevin’s specialties have grown to include servicing larger truck fleets, construction & excavation companies, Pneumatic & solid forklift tires, passenger & light truck tires, brake, alignment, & shocks on passenger cars, SUV, & light trucks. Plus Cowser started an In-House poly fills service.

Cowser Tire & Services’ exceptional customer service led to more demand for services than could be performed at the Saginaw location. We left Saginaw with 26 employees, 7 services trucks, 1 OTR crane truck, and 3 solid tire presses.

In September of 2007 construction was completed and Cowser Tire & Service moved into our current 28,000 sq ft, 3.3 acre location at 1700 NE LOOP 820 in Fort Worth, Texas. This new state of the art location allowed Cowser Tire & Service to increase their ability to perform the services their customers required as well as allow for growth and demand increases. We currently perform 4-wheel alignments, brake service for all vehicles, complete suspension service, air conditioning services, state inspections as well as tire & custom wheel sales for passenger, light truck, SUV, and OTR/Farm equipment.

To support our industrial customers Cowser Tire employs a professional staff specializing in the sales and service of pneumatic, solid pneumatic, and press on industrial forklift tires. Cowser Tire has one in house tire press and two mobile tire presses allowing us to service our customers on site.
